“In full Glenn Miller mode they will have the audience tapping their feet with harmonic sophistication, rhythmic agility and technical accomplishments from this extraordinary band, their exceptional playing technique and sense of harmony conveying the romanticism of foregone popular songs, which will exude an emotional quality.
“Take the A Train, the signature tune of Duke Ellington’s orchestra, will open their set. The music hots up to the fast rhythm of Funky Cha Cha. Take a breath while you listen to the well-known Brazilian bossa nova, Girl from Ipanema, and that is just the start of an outstanding evening featuring music from Louis Armstrong, Glenn Miller, Ray Charles and beyond.”
Tickets cost £12 (adults). Call 01444 800045, visit www.itsmagic.org.uk or get tickets in person from Baldwins, South Road, Haywards Heath.
