Invasion of young,talented singers
Barefoot Young Artists (formerly Complete Singer), after their great success last year with Mozart’s Magic Flute, is bringing a characteristically fresh, physical and original production of Purcell’s masterworks: The Fairy Queen and Dido and Aeneas, to the venue on Thursday, September 12 at 7.30pm.
This is a fully staged production, with a remarkable instrumental ensemble including a free-base accordion. Music director Lesley-Anne Sammons, who has worked with major opera houses all over Europe teams up with Jenny Miller, well-known to this area for her work with young singers and a professional singer and director in her own right.
