Party like it’s 1969 at this charity event next Tuesday
This festive and highly original event combines young artists’ interpretations of 1960’s music with Hastings favourites Pete O’Donnell, The Locomotions, and Rachel McCarron, also Heather Alexander in a sketch from that was The Week That Was. Non-locals include Hertfordshire rising star Odette Michell. Unusually there is a stylish 25 minute operetta The Telephone by Menotti with Francis Rayner on piano.
The evening headliners are legends from the 1960’s, Buick 6, and Pete Brown who co-wrote Cream songs including White Room, Sunshine of Your Love, and the mightly I Feel Free, performing with Malcolm Bruce, the son of his Cream co-writer.
