This “exhibition of toast and exploding appliances” follows the success of his Queen on Toast exhibition celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee, which displayed 8,300 slices of toast printed with the Queen’s head. Myles Calvert’s work is defined by his use of traditional printmaking (screen and etching) mixed with digital image transfers to explore modern day comforts with a hint of humour and quirkiness.
