FAME hits the right note with a dazzling show
This year’s performance at Horsham’s Capitol Studio, ‘That’s Entertainment Revisited’ was a joy to watch.
The performers’ energy and passion was infectious, the audience tapping toes and nodding heads as hit numbers from favourite musicals were brought to the stage in quick succession.

Hide AdFrom ambitious group numbers to spine-tingling solos and duets, this year’s programme offered a good mix.
Particular favourites of mine included a wonderful tap number to ‘It Don’t Mean a Thing’ by Su Galleymore and Toni Bedford, the excellent ‘Tango Maureen’ by Naomi Walker and Martin Clevett, and the beautiful ‘Unexpected Song’ by Amy Wells.
The girls demonstrated their dancing talents in the brilliant ‘Bye Bye Blackbird’ and the audience fell about laughing to ‘How Could You Believe Me’ by the hilarious Julie Bass and Colin Carter, who also compared the show.
The highlight for me was ‘Everybody Needs Somebody’ with the hugely talented Martin Clevett taking the lead with the rest of the company dancing along in true Blues Brothers’ style.
Everyone gave their all, and everyone I spoke to after the show had a different favourite number, showing just how good the overall standard was. I’m already looking forward to next year’s show!
