Littlehampton’s hard-working Hannah should go far

A FORMER apprentice saleswoman in Littlehampton is mapping out a highly promising future for her career after being selected as the country’s top trainee at a prestigious awards ceremony.

Hannah Short, who was an apprentice at Thomson travel agents, in High Street, Littlehampton, was hailed as the country’s most dedicated trainee at a City and Guilds presentation evening, where she received a medal for excellence.

Hard-working Hannah, 20, had been studying for an NVQ in travel services, leisure and business with the company since July, 2010.

However, she “amazed” managers, not only at the Littlehampton branch of Thomson, but nationwide, by completing her NVQ training eight months early.

Hannah’s manager, Holly Van Zundert, said: “I have had many apprentices over the past 12 years but Hannah has really shown a ‘can do’ attitude and has become a strong member of my team.

“She is truly amazing and so dedicated. We’re all so proud of her. She treats everyone as a brand-new customer. She goes above and beyond when it comes to dealing with people.

“Whether it’s helping someone buy a £5 bus trip or an around-the-world cruise, she treats everyone with the same level of care.”
