Cancer Research Coffee Morning
Many people made a bee-line for the popular home-made cake and preserve stall whilst others clamoured for pearls, bracelets, rings and broaches on the well-stocked jewellery stall; although Cancer Research volunteer Beryl Burbridge jokingly pointed out that anyone expecting to find a real gem may be disappointed as apparently: "All that glitters is not gold on the jewellery stall!"
Along with a raffle, other stalls sold a variety of items including books, games, toys, gifts, stationary, bric a brac, etc.

Hide AdTeas, coffees and biscuits were served, and a little over 298 was raised for Cancer Research, which secretary Elizabeth King said was a "good result".
Elizabeth also wishes to remind people that the next coffee morning, on Saturday 22nd November, will be the bumper Christmas event.
