Care home raises £200 for charity

A COFFEE morning and raffle, held at a Bexhill care home, raised £200 for charity.

St Vincent’s Residential home, Woodsgate Park, held the event to raise both funds and awareness for the Society for Mucopolysaccharide Diseases (MPS).

Deputy manager, Joanne Freeman, along with the home’s cook Sue Funnell, organised the event on behalf of 6 year old local boy Luke Bown, who suffers from MPS, and the charity. However, Luke’s family chose to donate all the money to MPS and said they were “very grateful for all the support.”
