Fire service ‘will keep you safe’ as strike action looms
EAST Sussex Fire and Rescue Service says it remains ‘fully committed’ to keeping communities safe if there is industrial action by firefighters.
Members of the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) recently voted in favour of strike action in a national dispute over pensions, though no dates have yet been announced.
The Government wants to raise the age at which firefighters will be eligible to receive a full pension from 55 to 60.
