Kim continues fight to stop scourge of HIV in South Africa

A PULBOROUGH woman is back in West Sussex after 10 years in South Africa running an HIV prevention programme for youngsters.During that time Kim Hope founded the Themba Trust, which aims to reduce HIV using interactive theatre.

She had a strong theatrical background and set off on a tour of major cities, including Johannesburg, at a time when apartheid was at its height.

"The idea was to perform before mixed audiences at university and other theatres.
