Clinical Educator role at Chestnut Tree House
Many of the children on our caseload require not only an extensive drug regime to manage their symptoms, but also help with most daily activities, like feeding, breathing or movement.
In order to ensure the Care Team have all the skills required we have many different systems in place, which include a competency framework, and regular training days.

Hide AdWe have also recently appointed a Clinical Educator. She works alongside the team to keep their practice up to date, helping to ensure our standards remain high and our practice is evidence-based.
We also provide training across the county to those not used to caring for children at end of life, and she will also be part of the development of that, which is very exciting.
As the only children’s hospice in Sussex, we have to ensure we’re providing the care and treatment that children need.
As you can imagine, this is expensive. We could not provide the services that we offer to children and their families if it was not for the ongoing, generous support of the people of Sussex and beyond. So thank you very much.
