Huge success for college at higher education event
Speakers from Brighton, Chichester and Sussex universities spoke about the admissions process, finance, writing personal statements and student life in general.
Collyer’s Senior Tutor Ian McAlister hosted the evening and emphasised the importance of preparation and research when choosing where to study next.

Having just returned from the April UCAS convention at Sussex University, students were keen to understand how the process of applying to university began and what could be done to ensure that the process went smoothly.
Ian McAlister added: “It was good to see so many eager faces in the audience! Planning your future can be daunting and we aim to help students make sensible decisions by providing a wide range of advice and guidance coupled with practical help from tutors and subject specialists”.
Many students and parents took advantage of the opportunity to ask questions from the floor and the speakers were also on hand during the break and after the presentations to answer individual queries.

Thanks must go to our guest speakers and Ian and his team for putting on these important Higher Education sessions. The presentations were really well attended on both nights and will certainly help students as they plan their UCAS applications later in the summer term.”
