Shocked to learn...
She may be as shocked as I was to learn that, in several cases, planning officers have refused permission for such accesss, even when it has been requested in planning applications.
Apparently, it is considered satisfactory for people to ring a bell and wait outside, instead of going in to make a choice for themselves.

Hide AdThere should be no problem in providing sloped access. In some cases, it may be necessary to set the door further back, with glass sides. Many shops were originally built like this. A good example is the High Street premises now used by R & A Television.
I call on all planning officers to have a major re-think and provide genuine equality of opportunity in Littlehampton.
