LOCAL HISTORY: Meeting of Polegate and Willingdon Local History Society today, Friday, when our speaker is Paul Lendon, On The Buses. Doors open at 6.30pm, meeting starts at 7pm. Visitors welcome.

COFFEE MORNING: The coffee morning tomorrow, Saturday, is hosted by the Social Section. All welcome in the lounge at Polegate Community Centre from 10am to noon.

WALKS: Tomorrow, Saturday, Return to Hilliers, 5 miles with Mavis M. Meet at Cuckoo Trail School Lane, Polegate 9.45am, bus 54, 9.08am Terminus Road Stand H to High Street. Flat walking with two stiles. Refreshments at Hilliers. On Sunday, Around the Corner, 8.5 miles with Paul and Barbra. Meet at the Avenue, walk starts at Chiddingly car park at 9.50am. GR 544142. On Wednesday, Will the Nightingales Sing, 5 miles with Bob J. Meet bus 54, 10.08am Terminus Road to East Hoathly, where walk states at 11.05am. Dry lunch at Blackboys.

POLEGATE DRAMA: The group’s next production is in May. For more information please contact Ryan Tate or Chloe Eason, at Polegate Community Centre. The play is called Kindly Keep it Covered.

FRIENDLY CUPPA: Come and join us at the Friendly Cuppa on every Wednesday morning at Trinity Church Hall, Coppice Avenue, Lower Willingdon. Meet friends old and new, light refreshments and chat, also raffle for local charities and a few stalls. Friends from the Trinity Local Market are also welcome to come and join us. Wendy, Terry, Bill, Hilary, Frank and Maureen will give you a very warm welcome. Local history books and knitted goods and wool are still available. Watch a DVD on wildlife taken by Frank or look at his photos. Doors open at 9am to noon. We are here every wednesday morning until Christmas.
