The main gates to Bognor Sports Club are to be locked at night for the first time.
The measure has been agreed by club members after recommendations made by one of the area's police community support officers, Justina Baker.

Suitable padlocks for the main gates, the gate at the corner of Hawthorn Road/ Nyewood Lane and the gate between the sports and tennis clubs and from the bowls to the tennis clubs are being bought. Common keys will enable all the padlocks to be easily unlocked by club members.
Their installation should prevent members of the public taking short cuts across the 15-acre site.
PCSO Baker hosted a recent sports management forum between the cricket, football, squash, lawn tennis and indoor bowls club which occupy separate portions of the site on which the sports club stands. She arranged the event to enable the organisations to share information and increase their co-operation to enhance the facilities.
