Storm Henk: Tree topples into ancient South Downs churchyard
A large tree has toppled into an ancient South Downs churchyard following Storm Henk.
The tree fell into the grounds of St Mary’s Church in Storrington today (Wednesday). It is believed it became dislodged during yesterday’s high winds.
The tree also demolished part of a wall at the church site and blocked a footpath from Church Street to The Glebe and access to the church from the rectory.
West Sussex Highways have been informed.
