Swimming pool ‘does not work’ as business model, say Lido staff
Social media sites have been awash with calls to reinstate a swimming pool in The Lido, in Marine Parade, Worthing, rather than the proposed roof development.
Philippa Bradbury, PR and marketing manager at The Lido, said: “The pool closed down in the first place because it was making a big loss. As a business model it doesn’t work.

Joe Skilton, The Lido’s arcade supervisor, added: “The rides do draw in a lot of people during the winter. If there was a pool there would be no-one here at all.”
