VIDEO: Investigation underway after body found on Shoreham beach

Emergency services, including senior police officers and the coastguard, were among those on the scene near The Burrells shortly after 8am.
A spokesman for Sussex Police confirmed the body of a man was found and said the death was being treated as ‘unexplained’.
An investigation is now underway.

Hide Ad“At 8.10am on Friday (4 December) the body of a man was found by dog walkers at the water’s edge on Shoreham beach near The Burrells,” added a spokesman.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and the circumstances are being investigated.”
A spokesman for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: “The coastguard was called to the scene at 9.10am, by East Sussex Police, to assist with the recovery of a body.”
