Crawley Town Lifesaving Club claims medal haul
Once again Open Commonwealth champion Simon Worne led the way by winning five golds and two silver medals continuing his total domination of the three fin related events at this year’s three National Championships.
Supported by Oba Waiyaki, Simon showed his versatility as a competitive lifesaver when taking gold in the 12.5m speed line throw rescue. Up and coming finner Laurie Hughes took a bronze in the 100m tow before pairing up with twin Marcos do the same in the line throw.

Hide AdThe four Crawley men then teamed up to win silver and bronze medals in the 4x50m medley and 4x25m manikin relays respectively.
In the master’s events, Gary Lee won a bronze in the 100m rescue medley.
In competitive lifesaving competition, Crawley Town will now move from the pool to the beach before taking on the world’s top clubs at RESCUE2014 World Club Championships.
