Two of the area’s senior football clubs will battle it out for local cup glory tomorrow (Friday).

Bexhill United and Westfield will lock horns in a hastily-arranged Hastings & District FA Senior Cup final at The Polegrove. Kick-off is 7.30pm.

Both clubs completed their Macron Store Sussex County Football League Division Two campaigns with away defeats on Easter Monday, Bexhill losing 2-1 against Little Common and Westfield going down 4-1 to AFC Uckfield Town.

Fifth-placed Bexhill are 20 points and seven places above Westfield, and picked up four points from the two league meetings between the clubs. After a 1-1 draw at The Polegrove in September, Bexhill won 1-0 at The Parish Field in November.

For the second successive season, Bexhill and Westfield are the only clubs to have entered the competition. Westfield were 3-0 winners over a very different Bexhill side in the 2014 encounter.

Westfield are likely to welcome back manager Jethro Warren and key midfielder Gordon Cuddington - both former Bexhill players - from the side which faced Uckfield.
