The Red Devils will be licking their wounds following a damaging 3-0 defeat against Sevilla on Thursday night, which knocked them out of the Europa League at the quarter-final stage.
In-form Brighton are arguably favourites for the tie but will be wary they will be coming up against a wounded animal looking to make amends.
The Old Trafford club will definitely be without key defenders Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, who both suffered injuries in the first-leg against Sevilla.
Skipper Harry Maguire also misses out through suspension. That means Bruno Fernandes – who was suspended for the trip to Spain – is expected to start and take back the captain’s armband.
Marcus Rashford, who came off the bench in the second-half at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium, is expected to start after making a quick recovery from a groin injury.
Here’s is how we think Erik Ten Hag’s full line-up will look:
1. David de Gea

2. Aaron Wan-Bissaka
We expect Aaron Wan-Bissaka will get the nod at right-back as his pace could be vital up against the dangerous Kaoru Mitoma. (Photo by Gonzalo Arroyo Moreno/Getty Images) Photo: Gonzalo Arroyo Moreno
3. Victor Lindelof

4. Luke Shaw
Luke Shaw was hobbling towards the end of the game against Sevilla but is expected to be fit enough to start today. The left-back will have to be deployed in the centre-back role, with Maguire suspended and Martinez and Varane out with long-term injuries.
