Midhurst gave a debut to new forward Jason Silver. The home side had Midhurst under pressure and a good passing move enabled Jamie Rieve to put Dorking in the lead. On 22 minutes, Bobby Hooper found Jerome Beckles and he slotted past Scott Lillywhite for 2-0. Midhurst were looking relaxed despite being two down. After the break, the visitors brought on Nathan Castleton and Oliver Pearce. Silver gave Midhurst a lifeline with seven minutes left before Pearce scored the goal of the game as he drove an unstoppable shot beyond keeper Paul Williams.
