McCoy back with a bang at Fontwell
The champion jockey was a comfortable two-and-a-half length winner on Southfield Royale (2/1) for trainer Neil Mulholland in the Free Tips At raceclear.co.uk Novices’ Hurdle.
Afterwards McCoy said it was great to be back in the saddle, and thanked all those who had helped him during his spell on the sidelines.

Cannon took the £10 Free Bet At 32RedSport.com Handicap Hurdle on 7/4 favourite Lightentertainment, the horse’s third win at Fontwell this year, and landed the ultra-slow 32Red Casino Handicap Hurdle with Sweet Boy Vic, also at 7/4. Both are trained by Chris Gordon.
Best guided Volio Vicente (11/2) to the Nigel Martin Memorial Handicap Chase for Carroll Gray and followed that by winning the SIS Bring Betting To Life Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race on board Somerset Jem (5/2), trained by Kevin Bishop.
Bigggest-priced winner of the afternoon was 7/1 shot Somchine, ridden to victory in the 32Red.com Novices’ Handicap Chase by Andrew Thornton for Seamus Mullins.

Hide AdMartin McIntyre claimed the raceclear.co.uk Making Bookies Tremble Conditional Jockeys’ Training Series Handicap Chase on Ballydague Lady, who’d had two thirds and a second at Fontwell in the past two months. That completed a double for trainer Mulholland.
Lightentertainment, Sweet Boy Vic, Ballydague Lady and Somerset Jem were all tipped to win hereon this website on the morning of racing.
Next up at Fontwell is Christmas jumper raceday on Tuesday, December 9 - the last meeting before their big Boxing Day fixture.
